Perspective

Last Sunday, I taught a lesson on Eternal Perspective to 12 to 15 year old girls. Since, I've had several experiences in which I caught myself making judgements on people/situations without a true perspective.
I hope that in the future I can step back and acknowledge I cannot have a true perspective on other peoples lives and that I should just support others in their perspective, and pray for them to know what they should do.

Attitude of Grattitude

I am totally new to this blogging thing. So, if someone has some suggestions on proper blogger etiquette please don't hesitate to inform me. But PLEASE tell me HOW to do it

It is unusual for me to read books unless I am poked AND prodded. However, when asked by a friend for advice on parenting (I have only been a foster parent and for only 3 months at that), I decided I needed to know more myself.

I read The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne and From Innocence to Entitlement from the Love and Logic Books, by Jim Fay & Dawn Billings. After finishing these books, I feel strongly about acknowledging the blessings in my life. I plan to post regularly on what I am grateful for.

To start, I want to acknowledge what a blessing my husband is to me. Not only does he provide for me financially, but he is very sensitive. (Don't tell his cop buddies though, he has a reputation to uphold). He is truly my best friend.

Geeks night out.......

So, a couple of weeks ago on a friday night my husband came home from work early (9pm rather than 12am.) Thrilled he was going to be off, I suggested we go to a movie like "normal" people. I played on the internet while he changed out of his uniform into regular clothes. We get in the car and head to the theater.
As we are parking the car at the theater we notice that we are wearing the exact same shirt, just different colors. First thing out of his mouth was "Hey! It's geeks night out, starring us!" Oh, so appropriate!
